| As the unit is a family society we encourage the wives, girlfriends & children to come along & take part. No army encampment in the 18th century would be complete without its share of wives & camp followers. | ![]() |

| The women take on the traditional roles of the period. They cook, clean, mend & make clothes & generally look after their menfolk. | ||||
| Whiles husbands & sons talk to the soldiers the women & children can find out what it was like for the camp followers both in peace & war. How they were treated, rationed, accommodated & disciplined either on Home Service or Foreign Service & what happened to them if their husband died. | ||||
| The women wear a mixture of clothing. Some are attired as per the fashions of the day whereas others have a certain "campaign" look, wearing whatever they could find or loot. | ||||
